Cody Fox
Cody F. Fox joined Santel | Garner in 2020. Cody focuses his practice on criminal defense, business and civil litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury. Prior to joining the firm, Cody represented businesses and individuals in a variety of matters including criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, construction litigation, business formations, and contractual disputes. He has also represented self-insured companies, insurers, and other businesses in workers’ compensation matters in Virginia and Tennessee and defended clients against occupational disease claims brought before the United States Department of Labor. Cody is dedicated to zealously advocating on behalf of his clients and creating long-lasting relationships to ensure that his clients’ current and future legal needs are properly addressed and quickly resolved.
Cody grew up in Greeneville, Tennessee where he graduated valedictorian from West Greene High School. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Tennessee where he majored in history. Cody then attended the University of Tennessee College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor with a concentration in advocacy and dispute resolution. While at Tennessee, he was involved in numerous organizations and associations. He was also a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. During law school, he clerked for multiple private practice firms, the District Attorney General’s Office for the First Judicial District of Tennessee, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Cody was also a student attorney with the UT legal clinic and recognized by the Tennessee Supreme Court as a Law Student for Justice.
